Program Overview

Art of Possible with GenAI

'Art of Possible with GenAI' introduces the world of Generative AI (GenAI), a revolutionary technology transforming businesses. You'll gain an understanding of GenAI's fundamentals and its impact across various business functions and industries. You’ll also learn how Amazon leverages GenAI internally and how industry leaders are utilizing it to improve customer experience, boost productivity and accelerate innovation.

Working Backwards Sprint

The 'Working Backwards Sprint' enables you and your team to define a new product, service, or experience, and then rapidly bring that solution to life. This highly collaborative engagement is inspired by the same customer-centric methods used by Amazon to develop breakthrough innovations our customers love, such as Amazon Prime, Amazon Kindle, AWS, Amazon Echo and Alexa, and Amazon Go.

Networking Opportunities

Networking opportunities shall be provided to all attendees during the Lunch and two Tea / Coffee breaks through the day. It will be a great occasion to make new connections and develop existing ones in a casual and relaxed seating

What's involved

1

Prior to the event

  • Form a team of 3-4 members of your organization to join in this experience
  • Outline a business challenge or area of opportunity you are looking to explore further during the event
  • Complete a pre-work that we will send you and share it back with us
  • Register each of the team members on this website
2

During the event

  • A team of AWS Innovation and Tech specialists will enable your team in generating ideas for customer challenge
  • With their guidance and support, draft the Press Release & Frequently Asked Questions (PRFAQ) document for your idea. This is an initial business case and one of the most important components of Amazon’s approach to the launch of a new product or service
3

After the event

  • Present the idea in the form of a PRFAQ to your leader to gain exec sponsorship for the solution
  • AWS will support in your path to prototype to bring the outlined idea to life

What will you build?

Over the course of the day long sprint your team will start with a dive deep, and gain an understanding of the end-customer, and put a customer lens on specific problem or opportunity you want to focus on. Further leveraging the Amazon’s Working Backwards process, you will be able to invent and define a new solution that meets that customer’s most pressing need.

Together, we will then work to bring the idea to life as a future Press Release and Frequently Asked Questions document (PR-FAQ). At the event’s conclusion, we will help you determine the right next steps for testing your solution with customers and taking it to scale.

What will you gain?

At Amazon, the customer is the front and center of our innovation efforts, and we would like you to work towards customer-centric innovation using the Working Backwards mechanism. Once the ideas have been captured in a PRFAQ document, they will be reviewed by your leadership and those that gain Exec Sponsorship for build will be supported with AWS credits to bring your solution to life on AWS.

The top 2 customer-centric ideas that significantly improve the customer experience will be awarded AWS credits worth 6,000 and 3,000 US dollars, respectively, out of all the ideas that are submitted as PRFAQs.

We will also support the build of a prototype of all the ideated solution which gain Senior leadership sponsorship for the solution. This will fast track the solution that you have developed to build on AWS.
